West Wood
Castle Point Wildlife Group manage the area of woods located next to the school called West Wood. The main entrance is located off the Rayleigh Road and is approximately 80 acres of ancient woodland previously owned by the Church. The wildlife group have been commissioned by Castle Point Borough Council to help regenerate the woodland and protect the habitats of the wildlife. The group participate in environmental projects such as the restoration of a pond, and have led sessions teaching our pupils about the woods and inhabitants.
