Welcome to Westwood Academy, we are very proud of our children and staff and believe in our motto: Together enabling the individual child.
'Together' to us means working in partnership with parents, children, staff, Governors and the community. We know that this is the key to success. We treat each child individually and match the learning to their needs.

All children are treated as individuals; there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach. Personalising learning is our aim, giving children the education they need and want. Learning is active, hands on,
engaging and fun.

We welcome visits to the school, anytime. Normally you will be greeted by a senior member of staff and shown around the school and meet our older children who will also tell you about the school!
Westwood Academy is a good school, full of energy and fun with a real family atmosphere. Standards are always improving and we have high expectations in all we do. There is a focus on reading writing and arithmetic plus we promote the physical, creative, social and emotional development of each child in a calm and friendly atmosphere.
